Zcash Rises After SEC Probe — Will It Hit New High?

Zcash Surges Post-SEC Probe: Is a Fresh Yearly High on the Horizon?

Zcash (ZEC) climbed sharply after the Zcash Foundation said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has formally closed its review into the organization, ending a probe that began more than two years ago.

Following the announcement, ZEC surged between 5% and 14% across major exchanges, briefly testing the $440–$450 resistance zone.

The closure removes a regulatory overhang that had weighed on investor confidence for nearly two years, providing clearer near-term footing for the project and its community.

Zcash is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency best known for its use of cryptographic techniques designed to enable shielded transactions. For projects operating in privacy and compliance-sensitive areas of crypto, the status of regulatory scrutiny can be a meaningful factor for market sentiment.
