Solana Breakpoint London Enlists Revolut Chair, Ex-UK Leaders

Solana Breakpoint London Expands Lineup With Revolut Chair and Former UK Leaders
The Solana Foundation has added a new wave of speakers to its Breakpoint 2026 conference in London, bringing senior political figures and financial-services leaders into the lineup alongside executives building on Solana.
In an update announced on Oct. 27, the foundation said the event will feature Revolut chair Martin Gilbert, former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Chancellor of the Exchequer Sajid Javid. Additional policy and public-sector representation includes Patrick Witt, a former executive director at the White House President’s Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, and Lord Vaizey of Didcot, a member of the House of Lords and former minister for culture and the digital economy.
Breakpoint 2026 is scheduled for Nov. 15–17 at Olympia London. The foundation has framed this year’s event around the theme “Token Supercycle,” emphasizing areas such as stablecoins, tokenized assets, payments and onchain activity tied to AI.
The newly announced speakers also include figures from traditional finance and market infrastructure. The foundation listed Sir Nicholas Lyons, chair of Standard Life and a former Lord Mayor of the City of London, as well as Hester Serafini, president of ICE Europe. It also named senior representatives from firms involved in payments, banking and digital asset market structure, including DTCC, Mastercard, Barclays, Zelle, Bitwise and Backpack.
The broader speaker slate points to the topics Solana wants to highlight as crypto infrastructure moves further into regulated and institutional settings:
- Payments and capital markets: Christian Rau (Mastercard), Scott Lucas (Barclays), Alexandra Lang (Zelle) and Matt Hougan (Bitwise).
- Tokenization and onchain infrastructure: Val Wotton (DTCC), Tom Farley (Bullish) and Armani Ferrante (Backpack).
- Trading and culture: Kash Dhanda (Jupiter), Tristan Thompson and Lucas Jumalon.
The latest additions place policymakers from the UK and the US on the same program as payments and market-structure executives, reflecting how stablecoins and tokenized assets are increasingly discussed not only as crypto-native products but also as tools tied to mainstream financial rails and regulatory decision-making.
TheStreet originally published details of the speaker additions on Oct. 27, 2026.
