Polygon Nears Coinme Acquisition, Expands Bitcoin Kiosk Network

Ethereum scaling network Polygon close to buying bitcoin kiosk firm Coinme, sources say

Ethereum Layer-2 network Polygon is in talks to acquire U.S. crypto kiosk provider Coinme, according to people familiar with the matter. The potential deal is valued at $100 million to $125 million, the sources said.

One of the people said Polygon is being advised by Architect Partners. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because the discussions are private.

Coinme is known for operating crypto kiosks and has offered access to cryptocurrency services across multiple U.S. states since its initial launch. The company’s footprint in physical locations has made it a recognizable on-ramp for customers looking to buy crypto through in-person channels.

If completed, the transaction would link a major Ethereum scaling network with a firm focused on real-world distribution for crypto purchases. The talks highlight how infrastructure providers across different parts of the crypto ecosystem—from blockchain networks to payment and access points—are exploring consolidation as the market matures.
