Unlock Solana Wallets to Power the Information Exchange

Decrypt Money Accounts Launch on Solana to Power The Information Exchange

Decrypt said its Money Accounts are now live on Solana, giving users a single, self-custodial balance designed to work across Decrypt’s growing suite of financial products and its market platform, The Information Exchange.

According to Decrypt, the accounts support balances in USDT and are built to reduce the friction of moving funds between different products. A single balance can be used across Earn, Swaps, Predictions, and Perps, without requiring users to bridge assets or maintain separate deposits for each product.

Decrypt also said it is sponsoring network gas and account rent through a fee-payer co-signing model, aiming to make transactions feel seamless for users interacting with its products on Solana.

A central point of the rollout is custody. Decrypt said Money Accounts are self-custodial, meaning the company does not hold users’ private keys and cannot transact on a user’s behalf. Decrypt added that private key export is coming shortly, after which the accounts can be used with other Solana wallet software.

The company positioned Money Accounts as infrastructure for The Information Exchange, a planned platform that combines reporting, data, market prices, and trading instruments. Decrypt has described the project as a way to place financial participation alongside the information that informs it, pairing Decrypt’s newsroom output with market functionality supplied by Myriad.

Decrypt said the broader ecosystem will be coordinated through the upcoming MYR token, which it characterized as the network’s shared token and an economic layer designed to support functions such as information verification and market resolution.

Additional features and protocol partners are expected to be announced in stages ahead of Solana Breakpoint, Decrypt said.

  • What happened: Decrypt launched Money Accounts on Solana, enabling a shared USDT balance across its products.
  • Why it matters: One account can fund Earn, Swaps, Predictions, and Perps without per-product deposits, with gas and rent sponsored to streamline use.
  • Broader context: The accounts are intended to underpin The Information Exchange, which aims to combine news, data, prices, and market participation using Solana and the MYR token.
