Zcash Rally After SEC Probe: Could a New Yearly High Hit?

Zcash Surges Post-SEC Probe: Is a Fresh Yearly High on the Horizon?
Zcash (ZEC) rose sharply after the Zcash Foundation said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has formally closed its review of the organization, ending a probe that began more than two years ago.
Following the announcement, ZEC surged between 5% and 14% across major exchanges, briefly testing the $440–$450 resistance zone.
The closure removes a regulatory overhang that had weighed on investor confidence for nearly two years. While the Foundation did not provide additional details about the SEC’s review in the information shared, the update signals that the regulator’s inquiry has concluded.
The move highlights how sensitive crypto asset prices can be to regulatory developments, particularly when uncertainty persists for extended periods. In this case, the end of a long-running review appears to have been a key catalyst for ZEC’s short-term price reaction.
