Bitcoin Holders Are Selling—But This Market Exit Looks Different

Bitcoin holders are cashing out, just not the way they did at prior market tops
Bitcoin holders are reducing their exposure, but the pattern differs from the selling typically associated with previous market tops. Rather than following the same distribution behavior seen in earlier cycles, investors appear to be taking profits through a different set of actions.
That distinction matters because the way holders sell can provide context about market conditions. A change in distribution patterns may indicate that investor behavior, market structure, or the composition of bitcoin ownership has evolved since prior cycles.
The shift does not, by itself, establish where the market is headed. It does show that historical comparisons should be treated carefully: similar levels of selling can carry different implications when the participants and methods involved are not the same.
